This recently completed 3 BHK residential project was designed for a couple transitioning to a larger apartment while preparing to travel abroad to visit their son. With only a two-week window between the project confirmation and their departure date, the challenge was to finalize everything—from civil and construction changes to furniture, upholstery, and artifact selections. Despite the tight timeline, the project was executed efficiently, with clear communication and quick decision-making to ensure the couple's dream home was ready in time. The design approach was minimal yet modern, focusing on creating a sleek and sophisticated atmosphere, while also making the space feel larger and more open.

The project featured high-end marble-finished vitrified tiles for flooring, contributing to an elegant, polished look. Light hues were chosen for the walls to create a sense of space and airiness, an essential aspect of the design to make the apartment feel more expansive. The clients, however, did not want a monotonous or neutral color palette for their bedrooms. As part of clients brief, they requested bold and vibrant colors for these spaces. We selected bespoke upholstery for the bedbacks in rich, eye-catching colors, while keeping the walls neutral to provide a peaceful and balanced canvas. The son’s room, for example, was designed with a bold shade of blue, complemented by neutral curtains and whites in the wardrobes with the bold and striking shade of blue to create a cohesive, serene space.

The living and dining areas were separated by a translucent partition, allowing natural light to flow freely through the spaces while maintaining a subtle division between them. In the kitchen and wash area, fluted glass partitions with a sleek, chic profile were used to add a touch of sophistication and further enhance the visual appeal of the layout. This clever use of partitions not only improved the aesthetics but also provided a fresh perspective on how the spaces interact with each other.

One of the core goals of this project was to ensure that the interiors felt elegant, subtle, and sophisticated, aligning with the clients’ vision for their dream home. The overall design focused on creating a peaceful and refined atmosphere, combining minimalism with a modern sensibility. Every detail from the careful selection of materials to the precision of the design elements was chosen to reflect this ethos. The subtle use of bold colors in specific areas, alongside neutral tones, ensured that the home remained both dynamic and calming.

The tight and challenging timeline, ultimately pushed the team to make quick, informed decisions that allowed the project to be completed to the clients’ high expectations. Despite working within a tight budget, every choice from the materials to the finishes was carefully considered to provide a high-end look without compromising on functionality. The result was a home that exuded sophistication, offered comfort, and reflected the couple’s aspirations for their new chapter. The project stands as a testament to the  fusion of aesthetic appeal, functionality, and timely execution.
